The Moose Jaw Miller Express scored six unanswered runs late in the game to defeat the Brooks Bombers 13-10 in extra innings on Thursday night.
The win gives Moose Jaw a split of the two-game set in Brooks against the Bombers.
Left fielder Joe Osborn went three for five at the plate with 5 RBIs and two home runs. On the mound, Takao Cookson picked up the win for the Miller Express.
After going down 2-0 after the first inning, the Miller Express put seven runs on the board off seven hits in the top of the second. Brooks replied in the bottom of the second with three runs of their own to make it 7-5 for Moose Jaw.
Brook then took the lead by scoring four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and a single run in the fifth to jump ahead 10-7.
In the top of the seventh inning, Osborn scored off of a Thomas Soto single to make it a two-run game.
Justin George would then tie it up in the top of the eighth to send the game into extra innings. His single scored Owen Robbins and Garrett Dennis scored on an error.
Moose Jaw took the win in the top of the 10th inning, scoring three runs to make the final 13-10.
The Miller Express are back in action with a two-game home set against the Fort Murray Giants on Friday and Saturday. Both games are at Ross Wells Park starting at 7 p.m.
Moose Jaw wraps up a busy weekend by hosting the Weyburn Beavers on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ross Wells Park.
