The Moose Jaw Miller Express erased a 7-0 first-inning deficit and came back to take down the Weyburn Beavers 12-9 on Tuesday night.

Moose Jaw would outscore the Beavers 12-2 in the final eight innings to come away with their 31st win of the season.

Seven Miller Express batters picked up one or more hits in the win. Julio Acosta and Luke LaChance each had two hits and drove in a combined three runs.

Julian Gonzalez notched his second win of the season on the mound, being one of six pitchers to make an appearance.

Gonzalez pitched two scoreless innings of work allowing only one hit.

Ethan Merk closed the game out in the bottom of the ninth inning for his first save of the season.

As mentioned before, the Beavers would get to Moose Jaw starter Kaleb Waller in the first inning. Waller would be pulled with no outs in the bottom of the first inning, after giving up six earned runs on five hits.

Tristan Seitz came into the game in relief and got the three outs he needed to get out of the inning, with his team down 7-0.

The Miller Express would get a run back in the second inning after Wyatt Tweet drove in Julio Acosta on a one-out single to the left field and it was 7-1.

In the third inning, Moose Jaw got within one. With the bases loaded Austin Gurney earned himself a walk to drive home Dawson Tweet.

The very next batter, Julio Acosta picked up a single to left field, which would score Nate Mensik and Greyson Barrett to trail 7-4.

Wyatt Tweet picked up his 23rd RBI of the season on a sacrifice fly to bring home Gurney from third base.

Luke LaChance would score the fifth run of the inning to make the score 7-6 Weyburn.

The Beavers added a single run in the bottom of the third to give them an 8-6 lead.

The offense continued for Moose Jaw, as they would add a run in the fifth inning, two in the sixth, and three in the ninth to pick up the 12-9 win over Weyburn.

The win improves them to 31-15 on the season and increased their lead in the east division to 8.5 games over the Medicine Hat Mavericks.

Moose Jaw will be in Swift Current on Wednesday to battle the 57s at 7:05 p.m.

Their next game at Ross Wells Park will be on Thursday against those same 57s with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
