Miller Express Look to Clinch Series Against Sylvan Lake Gulls Tonight at Ross Wells Park
The Moose Jaw Miller Express return to Ross Wells Park tonight looking to complete a two-game sweep of the Sylvan Lake Gulls after opening the series with a victory Thursday night. Riding the momentum of last night’s win, the Millers will look to continue their strong play in front of the home crowd with first pitch set for 7:05 PM.
The Miller Express offense continues to be one of the most dangerous in the Western Canadian Baseball League, entering tonight’s game batting .306 as a team. Chris Franks has been a catalyst all season, hitting .365 with 27 hits and 28 RBIs, while William Edwards has matched him with 27 hits and added 21 RBIs. Garryn Plummer has been a force behind the plate and at the plate, batting .367 with 14 RBIs, while Thomas Soto continues to create havoc on the basepaths with a team-leading 23 stolen bases.
On the mound, the Millers have been led by Nathan Pisio, who owns a 2.70 ERA and four saves, while Jacob Glazener has struck out 40 batters in 30 innings of work. Westin Walls has also been a reliable arm, posting 36 strikeouts in 32? innings this season.
