The Moose Jaw Miller Express return to Ross Wells Park on Tuesday night looking to keep the momentum rolling as they welcome the Fort McMurray Giants for a 7:05 p.m. first pitch. Fans are also encouraged to bring their four-legged friends as the club hosts its popular Bark at the Park Night.

The Miller Express offense continues to be one of the most dangerous in the Western Canadian Baseball League, batting .318 as a team while scoring 313 runs through 37 games. Speed has also been a weapon, with Moose Jaw swiping 88 bases, making every inning a threat for opposing pitchers.

Leading the charge is Thomas Soto, who has been one of the league’s most dynamic players. Soto enters the game hitting .360 with 54 hits, 49 runs scored and 32 stolen bases. Veteran catcher Garryn Plummer has been a force in the middle of the lineup, batting .370 with 36 RBIs, while Chris Franks is hitting .357 with 39 RBIs. Eduardo Saenz has also been outstanding, batting .385 in limited action.

On the mound, the Express have received quality work from Weston Walls, who owns a 3.77 ERA with 66 strikeouts, while Jacob Quiles has been dominant out of the bullpen, posting a 6-0 record.

The Giants will counter with an offense led by Kieta Fujino, who is batting .333 with five home runs, while Arwin Burgos (.341) and Marcos Arocho (.327) have been consistent producers throughout the season. Nick Sauve provides plenty of power behind the plate with eight home runs, giving Fort McMurray a dangerous middle of the order.

Fans can also expect plenty of entertainment off the field with Bark at the Park Night, making Tuesday one of the most family-friendly events of the summer. Bring your dog, enjoy an evening of WCBL baseball, and cheer on the Miller Express as they continue their push toward the postseason.
