The Moose Jaw Miller Express return to Ross Wells Park this afternoon looking to continue their strong regular season as they host the Weyburn Beavers in a Western Canadian Baseball League East Division matchup. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.

Today’s game is EECOL Electric Family Fun Day, with Paice Construction serving as the official Game Day Sponsor. Fans can expect an afternoon filled with exciting baseball, family-friendly entertainment, and on-field activities, making it one of the best opportunities of the summer to bring the whole family to the ballpark.

The Express enter today’s game with one of the league’s most productive offenses, hitting .315 as a team while scoring 453 runs through 52 games. Moose Jaw has also stolen 143 bases, showcasing an aggressive style that has kept opposing defenses under pressure all season.

Leading the offensive charge is Eduardo Saenz, who is batting .370 with 50 hits, 12 doubles, four home runs and 37 RBIs. Chris Franks continues to swing a hot bat at .362 with 68 hits and 51 RBIs, while Thomas Soto has enjoyed another outstanding season, hitting .337 with 69 hits, 68 runs scored and 47 stolen bases. Garryn Plummer (.358) and Ben Waliczek (.331) have also been key contributors to one of the WCBL’s deepest lineups.

On the mound, the Miller Express pitching staff has been anchored by Weston Walls, who owns a 3.50 ERA with 84 strikeouts, while Jacob Glazener has recorded 67 strikeouts and eight victories this season. Nathan Pisio has also been impressive in relief with a 2.18 ERA.

The Beavers will arrive with plenty of offensive talent of their own. Robert Gurney leads Weyburn with eight home runs, while Brayden Mayencourt has produced 27 RBIs and Austin Boylan has added five home runs. On the pitching side, Logan Lynch has been the Beavers’ ace with a 3.71 ERA and 60 strikeouts, while Zach Raichel enters with a 5-1 record and a 4.47 ERA.

Moose Jaw comes into today’s contest carrying plenty of momentum after recently splitting a doubleheader with Swift Current, while Weyburn is also coming off an impressive victory over Medicine Hat, setting up an entertaining afternoon at Ross Wells Park.
