The Moose Jaw Miller Express return to Ross Wells Park tonight for a pivotal Western Canadian Baseball League doubleheader against the Regina Red Sox, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

After splitting a doubleheader with Regina on Sunday at Currie Field, the season series has been tightly contested. Moose Jaw captured the opener 8-7, while the Red Sox answered with an 8-4 victory in Game 2, setting the stage for another exciting battle between the provincial rivals.

The Millers continue to be one of the WCBL’s top offensive clubs. Through their first 29 games, Moose Jaw has posted a .294 team batting average and has been led by several standout performers.

Eduardo Saenz continues to pace the lineup with a .375 batting average, while Garryn Plummer is hitting .361 with 20 RBIs. Chris Franks has driven in a team-high 30 runs, and speedster Thomas Soto has been a difference-maker with 34 runs scored and 28 stolen bases this season. Those offensive weapons will once again be counted on as the Millers look to gain ground in the East Division race.

Regina enters tonight’s doubleheader after a busy stretch of games and has proven to be one of the league’s toughest opponents. The Red Sox split their six games last week and continue to battle for positioning in the East Division standings.

With two games on the schedule, fans can expect an evening filled with exciting baseball, great family entertainment, and an important divisional showdown as both clubs continue their push toward the postseason.
