After sweeping the Medicine Hat Mavericks in two games to open the 2026 WCBL Playoffs, the Moose Jaw Miller Express have advanced to the East Division Championship Series, where they’ll face the Saskatoon Berries in a best-of-three showdown for a spot in the Western Canadian Baseball League Championship Series.
The Berries earned their place in the East Final after defeating the Regina Red Sox two games to one in their opening-round series, setting up a matchup between the East Division’s top two clubs.
Game 1 – Tuesday Night at Ross Wells Park
The series opens on Tuesday, August 11, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Ross Wells Park.
The Miller Express are asking fans from across Moose Jaw and Southern Saskatchewan to pack the ballpark and create one of the best playoff atmospheres of the season as the team continues its quest for a WCBL championship.

Two Teams Playing Outstanding Baseball
Moose Jaw enters the series with plenty of momentum after eliminating Medicine Hat in straight games. The Miller offence has been one of the hottest in the postseason, batting .347 as a team, scoring 22 runs on 26 hits in just two games. Michael Rago (.625), Pacey Phillips (.500), Ben Waliczek (.400) and William Edwards (.375) have led the attack, while the pitching staff has recorded 13 strikeouts and limited damage in key situations.
Saskatoon arrives after a hard-fought three-game series against Regina. Offensively, Brock Laird (.545), Nash Nichols (.364), Aiden Kilshaw (.333) and Ethan Murdoch (.308) have paced the Berries through the opening round, while their pitching staff has delivered timely performances to secure the series victory.

Every game matters in this best-of-three playoff format, making Tuesday night’s opener critical for both clubs. The winner of the East Division Championship will advance to the WCBL Championship Series to battle for the league title.
