The Moose Jaw Miller Express would split the weekend with the Medicine Hat Mavericks, losing the first game on Saturday night 7-6, and then came to play on Sunday, winning 10-3.

Saturday, June 10:

The Mavericks would get out to the early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning after Dominic VanDoorne would drive home Jackson Wooline from second with a two-out single.

Moose Jaw would respond in the bottom half, as Dawson Tweet would cross the plate to tie the game at 1-1.

The Miller Express would get their first lead of the ball game in the bottom of the second inning after two wild pitches would bring home Austin Gurney and Dougie Delacruz to make it 3-1.

The two teams would trade runs through the next three innings and Moose Jaw would go into the 6th inning with a 6-4 lead.

They would see that lead evaporate, as Medicine Hat would score three in the top of the sixth inning after a triple by Nathan Tarver would score two runs tying the game at 6-6. The very next batter Brent Cota would bring home Tarver with a sacrifice fly for the 7-6 lead.

A strong pitching performance was had by Kyle Calzadiaz for Medicine Hat, who came into the game in relief of starter Adam Golby. Calzadiaz would shut out the Miller Express in the final five innings to help the Mavericks secure the 7-6 win.

Dawson Tweet and Parker Dorrance would go 2-for-4 at the plate. Tweet would pick up a pair of singles, while Dorrance had a double and single.

Kaleb Waller took the loss on the mound in relief, pitching two innings allowing three runs on five hits.
