With 2022 drawing to a close, Discover Moose Jaw will be sharing some of the biggest stories that were viewed by you in 2022. This story was first published by Katherine Ludwig on August 19, 2022.

The Moose Jaw Miller Express was in Okotoks yesterday to take on the Okotoks dawgs for the final game of the Western Canadian Baseball League championships.

Unfortunately, the Millers came up short losing the final game 4 to 1 and coming in 2nd place.

The Dawgs got a run right off the bat in the first inning but Moose Jaw’s left fielder Joe Osborne was quick to catch us up getting the Millers’ only run of the game in the second.

Then in the fourth, Okotoks took two runs and was able to take another one in the 5th, taking the lead and finishing out the game.

The Millers will soon be leaving their billet families to go back home but it’s safe to say that Moose Jaw is proud of what they’ve accomplished.
